Event details

About

The Calgary Tattoo & Arts Festival Winter Edition is the February counterpart to the October Calgary flagship, held in Hall A of the BMO Centre at Stampede Park. It is run by TLC Business Strategies Inc. under Terra Connors, trading as Alberta Tattoo Shows, the same team behind the main festival. The organizer states the show draws 250 or more artists, most of them local and regional rather than an international field.

For a working artist that scale is the point. A smaller winter floor in the same venue means less competition for attention than the October show, with the same Calgary client base to draw from. Competitions run across the weekend. Tickets are sold through Showpass; the most recent published pricing was $30 Friday, $25 Saturday, $25 Sunday and $65 for the weekend pass, with the next edition's pricing not yet released.

What to expect

Best for

Artists focused on the Alberta and regional client base who want a smaller February floor without a large international field.

Notable: The winter counterpart to the October Calgary flagship, run by the same organizer in the same venue at a smaller scale.
