About
Founded in 2014 by tattooers Joshua and Nichole Carlton of Eugene and Riley and Erin Smith of Springfield, the Evergreen Tattoo Invitational grew out of a desire to bring a serious, art-focused tattoo show to Oregon. The flagship spring edition is held each March at the Lane Events Center in Eugene, drawing hundreds of tattoo artists and thousands of clients and enthusiasts from across the country, who come to watch live work, book sessions, and compete.
The convention pairs a working trade-show floor with daily tattoo contests, professional seminars, vendor booths, and music, making it a regional hub for the Pacific Northwest tattoo community. Booths consistently sell out, and the event carries the legacy of co-founder Joshua Carlton, a renowned realism artist who passed in 2024 and whose influence still draws artists to attend.
