About
The Pacific Ink & Art Expo, known as the Hawaii Tattoo Expo, is a three-day event held each summer at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center in Honolulu, drawing over 400 tattoo artists from across the islands and around the world along with thousands of attendees. First held in 2012, the 2027 edition marks the 12th expo, and the show is known for selling out each year. It places strong emphasis on Polynesian heritage, featuring ancient traditional tattooing such as Hawaiian kakau and Samoan tatau alongside contemporary styles.
Beyond the booths, the expo blends tattoo competitions with live music, hula and cultural dance, comedy, skate ramps and a family-friendly keiki zone. For artists, it offers exposure to a large, engaged Pacific audience and a community-driven atmosphere that sets it apart from mainland conventions. Note: editions through 2025 were held in August; since 2026 the show runs in July.
