About
Hell City Tattoo Festival is a long-running convention organized by Hell City LTD, founded by tattoo artist and RedTree Tattoo Gallery owner Durb Morrison. The Columbus, Ohio edition runs alongside a separate Phoenix, Arizona edition and brings together over 250 tattoo artists, vendors, live painters and industry professionals.
The 2026 Columbus event takes place November 6-8 at the Hyatt Regency Downtown. The weekend program includes daily tattoo competitions across categories such as Best Traditional, Best Realism and Best of Show, plus live painting projects, a fine art gallery and after parties. A 2025 Columbus edition (Hell City #23, 'Hell City Strikes Back') was held May 2-4, 2025, confirming the event is active.
