Homeward Bound Tattoo Expo 2027

A twice-a-year Tulsa tattoo expo at the Osage Casino, hosted by the husband-and-wife team behind Anchor & Rose Tattoo Co.

Event details

About

Founded in 2021 by Danielle and Marceau Hicks of Anchor & Rose Tattoo Co., the Homeward Bound Tattoo Expo runs twice each year, with spring and late-summer editions at the Osage Casino in Tulsa. The March show is the primary edition, drawing 200-plus artists from around the world for three days of live tattooing.

The expo rounds out the booths with daily burlesque performances, oddities, jewelry, paintings, and live art, giving it a variety-show feel on top of the tattooing. Low presale pricing and all-ages admission keep the casino floor busy and make it an accessible stop for both collectors and visiting artists.

What to expect

Best for

Artists wanting a low-cost, twice-yearly Tulsa stop with built-in entertainment

For artists: booths, applications, hours

A single 10x10 booth at the March 19-21, 2027 edition is $650 and fits two artists; a double booth of two 10x10 spaces is $1200. A $30 Osage Nation Tax Commission license fee per artist is added to the invoice. The booth includes paper towels, a sharps container, distilled water, solidifier, banner hooks, lanyards for each artist and one helper, and shared stencil stations. Tables and chairs are not listed. Room placement is first come, first served by payment date.

Artists apply through the application form on the expo site. Approved applicants get an emailed payment link; payment is due within a week or the booth is forfeited. No deadline or sold-out notice was posted as of September 2026. A photo of your current home-state tattoo license is required; the show is on tribal land, so no Oklahoma Department of Health license is needed. Piercers are not taken through this form.

Load-in is Thursday 4pm to 7pm; setup Friday 8am to 10am, inspection 11am. The 2027 show runs Friday and Saturday noon to 11pm, Sunday noon to 9pm. Contest entry is $10 per category, judged blind by three judges. It runs at Skyline Event Center, Osage Casino Hotel, 951 West 36th St N, Tulsa, with discounted rooms on site. Day passes in 2027 are $15 presale, $20 at the door.

Notable: One of the few tattoo expos to run two full editions a year, both hosted by a single studio-owning couple.
