The Houston Tattoo Arts Festival is a three-day convention produced by Villain Arts, held at NRG Center in Houston, Texas. The event gathers hundreds of tattoo artists, from international names to local talent, working live alongside vendors, daily tattoo competitions, educational seminars, and live entertainment including sideshow and suspension performances.
Villain Arts, founded in 1999 by Troy Timpel, runs more than 30 tattoo conventions across the United States each year. The Houston edition launched in 2019 and runs annually; the 2025 festival (7th annual) took place June 6-8, the 2026 edition (8th annual) ran July 31 - August 2, and the 9th annual is set for June 11-13, 2027 at NRG Center.
