Produced by Villain Arts, the Tampa Tattoo Arts Convention (also branded the Tampa Tattoo Arts Festival) is an annual three-day event held at the downtown Tampa Convention Center. The 2025 edition marked its 11th annual run, placing its launch around 2015. Hundreds of tattoo artists across all styles work the floor alongside vendors selling oddities, clothing, jewelry, and art prints.

For artists, it is part of Villain Arts' large national touring circuit, which gives consistent contest structures, steady booth demand, and a reliable Florida date in the fall calendar. Daily tattoo contests award trophies and plaques, and the schedule is filled with live entertainment including suspension crews, sideshow acts, burlesque, and circus performers, drawing a broad public crowd to the booths.

For artists: booths, applications, hours

For the 2026 edition a 10x10 booth costs $750 and fits two artists. Included: three badges (two artists, one assistant), two tables, four chairs, electricity, trash bin, sharps container, distilled water, consent forms. A 50% deposit holds the booth, no refunds, balance due 30 days before the show, about October 21, 2026.

Registration is through the online portal: Artist Signup form, plus Booth Holder form if buying the booth. No deadline or sold-out notice was posted for 2026 as of September 5, 2026. Approval takes two years' shop experience, a solid portfolio and a completed apprenticeship. For Tampa 2026 Florida also requires a Florida tattoo license or a guest registration ($35, up to 14 days, filed with the Hillsborough County health department with your home license and a bloodborne pathogen course at 70% or better), displayed at your booth. The 2026 show enforces a $100 minimum per tattoo.

Tampa 2026 runs November 20-22: Friday 2PM-11PM, Saturday 11AM-11PM, Sunday 11AM-8PM. Visitor tickets are $25 one-day or $50 three-day; under 12 at no charge. Contests are $10 per entry, signup closes 15 minutes before judging, Best in Show judged Sunday 7PM. Venue: Tampa Convention Center, 333 S Franklin St; garage parking $2 the first hour, $3 each hour after, $15 daily max. Hotel blocks: Westin Tampa Waterside and Hyatt Place Tampa Downtown.
