Wildwood Tattoo Beach Bash

A beach-themed three-day Villain Arts tattoo festival at the oceanfront Wildwoods Convention Center bringing hundreds of artists, live tattooing, and daily contests to the Jersey Shore.

About

The Wildwood Tattoo Beach Bash runs August 7-9, 2026 at the oceanfront Wildwoods Convention Center on the Jersey Shore, blending three days of live tattooing, juried contests, and a full vendor floor with a summer beach-party atmosphere right on the boardwalk. It is produced by Villain Arts, Troy Timpel's company and the world's largest operator of touring tattoo festivals, so this beach-themed edition pairs the circuit's national talent roster and competitive judging with the laid-back energy of a shore vacation weekend.

For artists across South Jersey, the Philadelphia metro, and the wider Mid-Atlantic shore, the Beach Bash is a destination weekend to tattoo walk-up clients, compete for trophies, and network with vendors and studios while the summer crowds pack Wildwood. The boardwalk setting and peak-season tourism draw heavy foot traffic, making it both a fun and genuinely productive booking stop for regional artists.

For artists: booths, applications, hours

For the 2026 season Villain Arts sells one booth type: a 10x10 for $750, for up to two artists tattooing at once; no per-artist rate is published. Included: three badges (two artists, one assistant), two 6ft tables, four chairs, electricity, a sharps container and aftercare forms. A 50% deposit holds the booth, balance due 30 days before the show, no refunds.

Artists apply via the Artist account form on villainarts.com; booth holders register separately. The 2026 edition (Aug 7-9, 2026) has ended; no deadline or sold-out date was published. As of September 5, 2026, Wildwood is absent from the 2027 lineup and booth-registration list, so 2027 booths cannot be booked yet.

For 2026 approval an artist needs two years of shop experience, a completed apprenticeship and a solid portfolio. The booth licensee pays local health department fees and permits, uses single-use needles and inks, and enforces 18+ with photo ID and a strict $100 minimum per tattoo.

2026 hours were Friday 12PM-11PM, Saturday 11AM-11PM, Sunday 11AM-8PM. 2026 visitor tickets: $20 day, $40 three-day, under 12 at no charge. 2026 contests cost $10 to enter, with Tattoo of the Day nightly and Best in Show Sunday at 7PM. Venue for 2026: Wildwoods Convention Center, 4501 Boardwalk, Wildwood, NJ 08260, 800+ on-site parking spots; hotel block info not yet available.

Notable: Staged at the oceanfront Wildwoods Convention Center on the boardwalk, leaning fully into its Jersey Shore beach theme.
